New York, NY (February 2017). Fitness professional and entrepreneur Jon Douglas Gallo releases his first book, The Ultimate Guide to Joining the Gym, which revolutionizes the approach for finding and joining a gym.
Celebrity trainer, gym owner, and co-founder of fitnesslane.com, it was only a matter of time before Gallo added author to his list of accomplishments. About the Author
Jon Gallo has been a mainstay in the fitness community for over 20 years. He is a celebrity trainer and certified Aerobics and Fitness Association of America instructor*. Jon also performs “Stretch-N-Flex” wellness programs for large corporate clients, such as Skanska, across New York City.
Jon has owned and operated several successful fitness clubs across the Tri-State area, including New Look Fitness in Perth Amboy, New Jersey, Dolphin Fitness in Staten Island, Astoria, Flushing, and Glendale, New York. He has also served as the Area Director for Fit Management in Staten Island, New York. He held the prestigious role of Multi-Unit Operator for 24 Hour Fitness’ Exclusive Derek Jeter Ultra Sports Clubs in NYC. And most recently, Jon helped open Frankie Edgar’s UFC gym in his home state of New Jersey, while serving as General Manager.
In 2011, Jon was able to bring the prestigious Xtreme Couture Brand to the east coast by opening two MMA schools. Jon was also a strength and conditioning coach at Xtreme Couture and has brought several of his students into the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC).
Jon’s athletic background includes his participation in AFL’s Xtreme Football League (2004-2005) and as a semi-professional baseball player for the New York Eagles (2006-2007). He competed in the 1996 NPC and 2006 F.A.M.E. Show, which promotes natural bodybuilding, and was selected as a judge for the 2005 International Federation of Bodybuilders Competition.
Jon recently worked on the 2016 Fitness Atlantic Pageant as a backstage interviewer, an honor he’s had for the past four years. He has also had the privilege of working with some of the best athletes in the world such as Shaun T, Tony Horton, and Monica Brandt.
